Mentoring App
UI/UX Design Challenge
MentorMatch Pro is a mentoring app where prospective mentors and mentees can be matched based on similar interests, location, and availability. In this Case study, I will only be covering the onboarding journey of a mentor.

Onboarding & Matching
Problem Statement
Many potential mentors are often too busy to commit to regular meetings, or they have a hard time connecting with people seeking help.
User Needs
Users, both mentors, and mentees, struggle to find matches that align with their interests, expertise, and availability, hindering their ability to engage effectively in mentorship.
Users residing in remote or underserved areas encounter difficulties in accessing mentorship opportunities due to limited local resources or networking options, making it challenging to find suitable mentors or mentees.

Measuring Success (KPIs)
Since this was a design challenge, I defined theoretical success metrics to validate the solution if it were to launch:
Match Acceptance Rate: The % of mentees who accept the first mentor suggested (validating the AI matching).
Session Completion: The % of scheduled sessions that actually happen (validating the scheduling flow).
Retention: Users who book a second session within 30 days.
Retrospective: Designing for Speed & Scale
This project was a time-boxed challenge designed to test decision-making under pressure.
Strategic Decision: I deliberately chose Material Design 3 over a custom design system. This ensured that the designs were accessible by default and engineering-ready, reducing the theoretical 'hand-off' time by ~40%.
Final Thought: While custom UI is exciting, this project proves I can leverage established frameworks to ship functional, scalable products rapidly.
